A Dalit youth was brutally beaten to death, while his cousin sustained serious injuries following a conflict in Paldi village, police reported on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (City), Satyanarayan Prajapat, confirmed that arrests have been made in relation to the murder of 20-year-old Sunny. The altercation occurred when Sunny and his cousin Shilu were returning to their village from Khatauli on a motorcycle.
The situation escalated into violence when Sunny became embroiled in a dispute with the village head's son, who was traveling by car. The argument resulted in an attack with lathies, leading to Sunny's death and Shilu's injury. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Authorities have strengthened security in the area, deploying additional police forces as a precaution.
