Ukraine reported successfully intercepting six out of 21 missiles launched by Russia, resulting in minor damages in the capital, Kyiv, and more significant damage in the northern Sumy region.
A female civilian sustained injuries in the Kyiv region, where missile debris caused damage to private homes and vehicles, according to the interior ministry on Telegram. Russia's hypersonic Kinzhal missile was among the intercepted projectiles, the Ukrainian air force confirmed.
The attack involved 13 missiles targeting the town of Shostka in Sumy, damaging residential buildings, educational facilities, and other infrastructure as per local authorities. Meanwhile, Russia claimed strikes on a military airfield and a gunpowder production facility in Ukraine.
