A dowry dispute in Aligarh district has taken a tragic turn, resulting in the death of a middle-aged man allegedly at the hands of his son-in-law and relatives, as per police reports.
Circle Officer Bhaware Diksha Arun detailed that the incident took place in Nagla Balram on Monday, involving the victim, Nisar Khan from Rigaspuri village. He reached out to his daughter Asma following a distress call, indicating mistreatment over dowry by her husband and family.
Nisar Khan, aiming for a peaceful resolution, sought a village panchayat. However, the situation escalated, leading to a brutal attack on him and his family members by the accused. While the police have filed a case against seven individuals, including Sameer, all suspects are currently on the run.
