Bengaluru Police Busts Major Drug Racket Targeting New Year Celebrations

A significant narcotics operation has been dismantled in Bengaluru with the arrest of an individual accused of stockpiling drugs worth Rs 2.50 crore for New Year celebrations.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda disclosed that a tip-off led the Central Crime Branch Narcotics Squad to raid an apartment in Chokkanahalli, where they seized a range of illicit substances, including Hydro Ganja and LSD strips. The officers acted under the NDPS Act, following credible intelligence from an informant.
While the identity of the detained suspect remains undisclosed, official reports confirm that he confessed to collaborating with an accomplice to source drugs from various regions across India and abroad. The police are intensifying efforts to capture the accomplice and curb the city's narcotics distribution network.
