This New Year's Eve, Gurugram is taking decisive action against drunk driving with over 80 traffic police personnel deployed across strategic checkpoints, officials announced on Sunday.

Senior police officials have confirmed that eight special checkpoints will enforce strict anti-drunk driving policies in key locations to maintain public safety and smooth traffic flow.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Virender Vij has mandated that officers across all zones set up additional checkpoints, ensuring peaceful and safe festivities. Action will be enforced under the Motor Vehicle Act for any violations.
