The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar police are seeking a colossal Rs 35-40 crore investment for modernization, revealed Commissioner Pravin Pawar during a press conference. These proposals, aimed at equipping the force with advanced technology, have been submitted to the District Planning Committee.

Among the priorities is the improvement of the cyber cell, alongside the procurement of cutting-edge hardware and software. Notably, the police plan to acquire tools capable of detecting drug usage without needing a suspect's blood sample.

Commissioner Pawar highlighted the force's achievements over the year, with smooth Lok Sabha and assembly elections, and proactive measures against narcotics, traffic violations, and drunk driving. The police have also taken action against the use of illegal nylon 'manja', registering ten cases under Section 110 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
