Court Acquits Seven in 14-Year-Old Dacoity Case
Seven individuals accused of a multi-million rupee dacoity in 2010 have been acquitted by a court due to lack of evidence. The court found testimonies of eyewitnesses unreliable and the prosecution's evidence insufficient. Doubts regarding the investigation's integrity led to the accused receiving the benefit of doubt.

In a significant legal development, a court has acquitted seven men accused of a Rs 27 lakh dacoity committed over 14 years ago, noting that the benefit of doubt must be given when evidence is insufficient.
Additional Sessions Judge Virender Kumar Kharta presided over the case, highlighting serious flaws in the prosecution's approach, including unreliable eyewitness testimonies and a lack of material evidence.
The court underscored that multiple eyewitnesses could not reliably identify the suspects, and the investigation failed to provide CCTV footage or valid proof, leading to their acquittal.
