Pakistan has instructed private security agencies and project sponsors to employ former military personnel to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens working in Sindh, following several attacks on Chinese nationals.
Sindh Inspector General of Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, announced the decision after reviewing the security situation for these foreign nationals. This move comes in response to increased safety concerns following incidents, including a suicide bomb attack on engineers near Karachi airport.
Authorities have implemented additional measures such as auditing private security guards and establishing a hotline for immediate contact between Chinese nationals and law enforcement agencies.
