Human Rights Watch has accused Israel of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip, highlighting widespread forced displacements and demolitions. The New York-based organization released a report Thursday, claiming these actions amount to ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in parts of Gaza.
The report details that many Palestinians have died while evacuating under Israeli orders and in designated humanitarian zones. Israel, however, disputes the report's findings, accusing Hamas of operating within residential areas and emphasizing their efforts not to deliberately target civilians.
The ongoing conflict has spilled over into Lebanon, where the Israeli military's expanded operations have killed over 3,300 people, with many more injured. The UN has urged for the protection of peacekeepers, and efforts continue to address this escalating humanitarian crisis.
