A Delhi court has mandated the immediate release of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, implicated in a money-laundering case connected to alleged irregularities within the Delhi Waqf Board.
Khan was initially arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on September 2 and subsequently placed in ED custody. His judicial custody was extended multiple times over the ensuing months.
On November 14, the court decided not to act upon the chargesheet filed by the ED, citing the absence of proper sanction, and thereby ordered the release of Khan.
