A clandestine firearms manufacturing operation was dismantled in a collaborative effort by the Kolkata and Bihar Police. The raid took place in Munger district, Bihar, and led to significant arrests and seizures, an official confirmed on Thursday.
Working from precise intelligence, the Special Task Forces from both police departments executed a coordinated raid on a residence in Gazipur, under Tarapur police jurisdiction. The search revealed a secret underground facility used for crafting unauthorized firearms.
The authorities seized six 7mm pistol components, machinery including a lathe and drills, and various tools and raw materials for weapons construction. Two individuals, who allegedly owned the house, were apprehended for their suspected involvement in the illicit activity.
