Effective from July 1, 2024, the hike aims to alleviate financial pressures on thousands of regular employees and pensioners, as confirmed by the Cabinet Secretariat.
Additionally, the cabinet unveiled the 'Mukhyamantri Grihsthal Kraya Yojna,' offering Rs 1 lakh to each landless family for land purchase. The cabinet also approved financial measures for rural road upgrades and allocated Rs 120.58 crore for developing tourist infrastructure at Punaura Dham Janki Mandir in Sitamarhi district.
