In a decisive move against terrorism, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday attached a property worth Rs one crore in the Sopore area. This action is part of a wider strategy to crack down on terror financing.
The property in question is a double-storied residential house, owned by Aamir Rashid Lone, a known terror associate. It is located in the Rasheedabad locality of Bomai and includes 15 Marlas (4080 square feet) of land. The attachment was carried out after receiving the requisite approvals under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
A police spokesman confirmed that the case has been registered under FIR No. 26/2024, citing multiple sections of the UA(P) Act and the Arms Act. This operation underscores the law enforcement agencies' commitment to dismantling financial and logistical networks supporting terrorism, sending a clear warning to disrupt peace destabilizers.
