Explosive Seizure: Mizoram Ops Busts Illegal Transport

A significant cache of explosives was seized near Aizawl by a joint operation of the Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police, according to a statement released on Wednesday.
The operation, prompted by specific intelligence, involved setting up a mobile vehicle check post at Lawipu junction, as noted by the Assam Rifles.
During the checkpoint exercise, a taxi was halted and searched, resulting in the discovery of 1,000 gelatin sticks, 1,000 detonators, and 20 meters of safety fuse. Two individuals, including a woman, were apprehended in connection with the illegal possession of these explosives.
