Houthis Launch Bold Strikes Against U.S. Naval Forces
Yemen's Houthi rebels conducted two military operations targeting U.S. naval vessels in the Red and Arabian seas. The attacks, involving missiles and drones, lasted eight hours and targeted an aircraft carrier and destroyers. No damage or casualties were reported, according to UKMTO.
In a bold assertion of military prowess, Yemen's Houthi rebels announced on Tuesday that they had executed two significant operations against U.S. naval vessels, stretching across the Red and Arabian seas. According to Yahya Sarea, the group's military spokesperson, the attacks lasted for an extensive eight hours.
The initial assault took aim at a U.S. aircraft carrier stationed in the Arabian Sea, deploying an array of missiles and drones. This was followed by a second operation targeting two U.S. destroyers in the Red Sea, heightening tensions in the strategic waterways.
Despite reports of several explosions near a vessel located 70 nautical miles southwest of Yemen's Hodeidah, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed that the vessel remained undamaged, and all crew members were safe, mitigating fears of escalation.
