An Indian national has been apprehended at Indira Gandhi International Airport on charges of smuggling heroin valued at over Rs 29 crore, according to customs officials.
The individual was intercepted on November 9 upon his arrival from Bangkok via Kuala Lumpur. Officials, acting on intelligence, conducted a search of his baggage.
During the inspection, authorities discovered 7.321 kg of a white narcotic substance packed in seven green polythene packets concealed in the passenger's trolley bag, purportedly heroin. The passenger has been arrested, and the narcotics seized.
