Heightened Security in Ayodhya Amid Pro-Khalistan Threat

Ayodhya's Ram Mandir saw heightened security on Tuesday following an alleged threat from pro-Khalistan leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. A purported video showed Pannun warning of violence during the upcoming 'Ram Vivah' festival.
Authorities responded by turning Ayodhya into a virtual fortress. Armed Anti-Terrorist Squad members were positioned throughout the town, while increased surveillance was executed with CCTV and drones.
The Provincial Armed Constabulary, Central Reserve Police Force, and local police, were deployed to ensure security. Despite the threat, Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi expressed confidence in the city's defensive capabilities, citing divine protection.
