A 32-year-old man tragically lost his life after allegedly becoming trapped in a swamp in a local pond early Tuesday morning, according to police reports.

Tejan Kamkar, who worked as a scrap picker, was returning home at around 2 a.m. from a kabaddi competition when the incident occurred in Hridaypur village, situated in the Dokati police station area, stated Deputy Superintendent of Police, D K Srivastava.

Authorities reached the scene promptly upon receiving information, taking the body into custody and sending it for a post-mortem examination. The police are conducting an investigation and will have more details post-autopsy.
