The Left government of Kerala has suspended two high-ranking IAS officers, K Gopalakrishnan and N Prasanth, for breaching official discipline, as confirmed by official sources on Monday.
K Gopalakrishnan faced suspension after allegations emerged that he had created a religion-centric WhatsApp group comprising government officials. Meanwhile, N Prasanth was sanctioned for publicly criticising a senior IAS officer on social media.
The action against these officers was initiated following a report submitted to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by the Chief Secretary. The authorities are taking the matter with utmost seriousness, indicating stringent measures to ensure adherence to governmental discipline and service rules.
