Governor Urged to Act on Minister's Contempt Case

Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has been drawn into a legal controversy following a contentious appeal by activist T J Abraham. Abraham has urged the Governor to direct the Advocate General to consider launching contempt of court proceedings against state Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan.
The allegations center around comments purportedly made by Minister Khan, in which he allegedly described a High Court order permitting an investigation against senior politician Siddaramaiah in the MUDA case as a 'political judgment.'
A Raj Bhavan official confirmed to PTI that the Governor has forwarded Abraham's letter to the Advocate General for necessary legal review and action.
