The National Human Rights Commission, in conjunction with the Ministry of External Affairs, is set to host the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) executive capacity building programme. This initiative, taking place from November 11 to 16, is tailored for senior officers of the National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) from various Global South countries.
Delegates from eight countries, including the Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Jordan, will participate in this six-day event. The programme aims to bolster the promotion, protection, and strengthening of human rights frameworks across these diverse regions.
Participants will benefit from technical sessions that delve into various human rights aspects, including NHRC's online complaint management, investigation techniques, emerging issues, and the interplay between business, technology, and human rights. This platform will facilitate the exchange of experiences, best practices, and ideas to fortify human rights initiatives globally.
