In a major breakthrough, the Mumbai Police, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh STF, successfully apprehended Shivkumar, a key shooter in the murder case of NCP politician Baba Siddique. The arrest took place on Sunday in Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh, where Shivkumar had been planning his escape to Nepal.
Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique was tragically gunned down outside his son's office in Mumbai on October 12. The Mumbai Crime Branch coordinated with the Uttar Pradesh STF to bring Shivkumar and his four protectors into custody. These accomplices were aiding his planned escape to Nepal.
The plot is suspected to have ties to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's network, with connections reaching as far as Canada. With 18 total arrests now made, the individuals taken into custody are en route back to Mumbai to face charges, as authorities work to untangle the web of the crime.
