Tragic Pond Drownings in Odisha's Ganjam District

In a tragic turn of events, two individuals lost their lives in drowning incidents in different ponds in Odisha's Ganjam district on Sunday. Police have identified the victims as 30-year-old Babu Nayak and 2-year-old Rajbir Nahak.
The first incident occurred around 10 a.m. when young Rajbir was playing with his sister near the pond in their Deogaon village. The child accidentally fell into the water, despite rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead at Kodala hospital.
Meanwhile, Babu Nayak, who had been residing at his in-laws' place in Gunthubandh, went missing on Saturday evening, with his body discovered in a nearby pond the following day. Local police have registered an unnatural death case for both incidents and commenced investigations.
