In a tense operation, four Army personnel were injured during a fierce gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district. The clash occurred within a remote forest area on Sunday, following the tragic killing of two Village Defence Guards (VDGs) that sparked a massive manhunt.

The encounter unfolded around 11 a.m., as joint search teams comprising Army and police forces intercepted terrorists in the Keshwan forest. This location is close to where the bodies of VDGs Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar were previously discovered.

Previously, security forces had launched an extensive search of the Kuntwara and Keshwan forests in response to the recent abduction and killing incident. Army's White Knight Corps reported that the terrorists belonged to the same group responsible for the earlier attack. As of the last report, three to four terrorists remain trapped with intermittent gunfire exchanges underway.
