Goa Minister Vishwajit Rane has urged the director general of police and the cyber crime cell to interrogate Congress leader Amit Patkar regarding allegations of a cash-for-government jobs scam.
Patkar, the Goa Congress chief, accused Rane's departments, including urban development and health, of issuing fake appointment letters to aspirants, claiming this was part of an extortion scheme.
Rane, in response, called for a full investigation, including assessing the authenticity of a call recording provided by Patkar. The minister insists these claims are part of a smear campaign to divert attention from broader job scam issues.
