Tragic Toll: Eighth Security Personnel Suicide in Chhattisgarh

A young constable, 27, has reportedly taken his own life with his service weapon in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district, an area affected by Naxal activities. Authorities allege that a mental health condition might have contributed to this tragic incident.
Constable Harilal Nag, of the Bastar Fighters unit, was found deceased in his home in Barda village after a gunshot was heard. Family members discovered him and reported an ongoing struggle with a mental illness, although specifics remain unclear as investigations continue.
This incident marks the eighth suicide among security personnel in Chhattisgarh within five months, adding pressure to the forces such as CRPF, BSF, and SSB, already tasked with challenging anti-Naxalite operations in the region.
