An Army officer was injured during a gunfight with terrorists in the remote Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, as confirmed by officials on Sunday.
The encounter erupted in the dense Keshwan forests after joint search units of the Army and police encountered the hidden terrorists around 11 am.
This operation has been active since Thursday following the murder of two village guards by the same terrorists. Authorities report that a heavy exchange of fire is currently underway, though further information is still pending.
