Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called for a transformative approach in governance to better meet the public's heightened expectations following recent elections. During a strategic review meeting in Ganderbal, Abdullah advocated for increased public engagement and swift resolution of residents' concerns by government officials.
The Chief Minister, representing the Ganderbal constituency, assured continuous support to expedite development initiatives. He highlighted the tourism potential in Sonamarg, previously a summer retreat, now accessible year-round thanks to the Z-Morh Tunnel. Abdullah urged the development of winter sports facilities to harness Sonamarg's potential for tourism.
Furthermore, Abdullah stressed the urgency in executing government projects delayed due to electoral activities. He encouraged leveraging the current dry spell to complete ongoing work before the rainy season, emphasizing the need for accelerated efforts across Jammu and Kashmir districts, including Ganderbal.
