An unidentified terrorist was neutralized by security personnel during an encounter in Sopore, part of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, officials announced on Saturday.
Based on specific intelligence indicating terrorist presence in Rampora Sopore, a joint operation by police and security forces was initiated. An exchange of gunfire ensued, as reported by Kashmir Zone Police via social media platform X.
The details of the operation remain undisclosed, but a senior police official confirmed, under anonymity, that one terrorist was killed. The identity and group affiliation of the deceased are currently under investigation.
