Three men were apprehended on charges of extorting and threatening cleaners working at Shobha Society, according to the police statement released on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Neeraj alias Nikhil, Rahul, and Sahil, hail from Daulatabad village. Disturbingly, Neeraj and Rahul are already serving life sentences in connection to a murder case, though currently free on bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The police detained the trio after responding to a complaint about threats towards sanitation workers. Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered the men near a Maruti Brezza car, which was seized along with three sticks. The suspects were then booked at Rajendra Park Police Station.
