A Haryana Civil Services officer, Kulbhushan Bansal, was detained following severe allegations of sexual exploitation lodged by a Dalit contractual worker. The worker claimed the officer abused him at gunpoint, making derogatory caste-based comments over six months.

Hisar's Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Kumar Mohan, confirmed Bansal's one-day police remand. The arrest gained attention following the complaint filed against Bansal by the worker employed in Haryana's public health department.

Charged under sections 377 and 506 of the IPC and the SC/ST Act, Bansal was suspended. The complainant alleged Bansal hired him as a peon, demanding massages, and threatening him with a pistol to suppress resistance.
