The Justice Michael D' Cunha Commission has uncovered alleged corruption in Karnataka during the BJP's tenure, specifically in the procurement of COVID-19 equipment and medicines. Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao announced the Commission's recommendations for prosecuting former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and ex-Health Minister B Sriramulu.

Allegations of 'loot' have surfaced, with accusations that Rs 14 crore was lost due to overpriced PPE kits procured from China, despite availability in India. The Cabinet sub-committee, tasked to oversee further actions, is considering prosecutions under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Rao maintains these are not acts of political vendetta, while Yediyurappa and allies dismiss the findings as diversionary tactics amidst ongoing political controversies. Further investigations and legal actions are anticipated as the government seeks accountability.
