In a heart-wrenching incident, the last rites of two Village Defence Guards killed by terrorists were performed near their village in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Saturday. The villagers are now demanding stronger security measures and adequate relief, including government jobs for the bereaved families.
The bodies of Nazir Ahmed, 42, and Kuldeep Kumar, 40, were discovered near a rivulet deep inside the Kuntwara forest after an exhausting 12-hour operation. As the search for the terrorists continues, additional forces were deployed to the area, aiming to widen the cordon and track down the perpetrators.
Post-mortem examinations confirmed that both men were shot execution-style, causing grief and outrage among locals. As fear spreads through the region, villagers call on authorities for swift justice and reassurance of safety.
