Odesa Under Fire: Russian Drone Attacks Intensify
Russian drones attacked Odesa, Ukraine, causing one death and 13 injuries, including two boys, during the second consecutive day of drone attacks. The Ukrainian air force intercepted 32 of the 51 drones. The intensification of air attacks marks nearly 1,000 days of conflict since Russia's invasion.
Russian drones launched a deadly assault on Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odesa, claiming one life and injuring 13 individuals, including two children, regional governor Oleh Kiper reported on Saturday.
The assault marked the second consecutive day of drone attacks on Odesa, with several residential and commercial properties, along with private vehicles sustaining damage. Governor Kiper detailed the overnight strike on the Telegram messaging app, highlighting the toll on civilians, including two young boys.
The Ukrainian air force stated that 51 drones were launched by Russia, focusing on Odesa and its southern region, but 32 were successfully shot down. As the conflict approaches its 1,000-day milestone, Russian forces have escalated their air campaign against Ukrainian urban centers, intensifying the nightly drone onslaughts.
