Tragic Temple Fireworks Incident Raises Death Toll

The tragic fireworks incident at Anjoottanbalam Veererkavu temple near Neeleswaram has claimed two more lives, bringing the total fatalities to four, as confirmed by officials on Monday.
Biju, aged 38, and Shibinraj, aged 19, who were being treated for severe burns at a Kozhikode private hospital, succumbed to their injuries on Sunday night. Earlier, two other individuals had also died from the accident-related injuries.
The Kasaragod district administration reported that 154 individuals sustained injuries during the accident, with 100 requiring hospital treatment. Authorities have arrested three people, including two temple committee members, following a case under the Explosive Substance Act and sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
