In a significant move to uplift marginalized communities, West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose unveiled an ambitious outreach program titled 'Apna Bhaarat - Jagta Bengal'. The initiative focuses on empowering women and children while combating pressing issues like human trafficking and drug abuse, according to a statement from Raj Bhavan.

Marking his second year in office, Governor Bose has outlined a series of events and strategies under this initiative, ranging from self-defense courses for girls to educational programs that connect youth with experts for their professional advancement. 'Abhaya Plus' courses stand out as a key component, providing essential self-defense skills to girls.

The program also brings the governor closer to the people with segments like 'File To Field' and 'Duare Rajyapal', promising visits to 250 locations across the state, including tribal areas, to directly listen to citizens' concerns. Educational scholarships and acknowledgments for contributors in various societal fields will further widen the scope of this transformative project.
