The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday launched an attack on the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) concerning the law and order situation in Delhi, following a double murder in the Shahdara district. The tragic incident occurred at around 8 pm on October 31, resulting in the deaths of Akash Sharma, 40, and his 16-year-old nephew, Rishabh Sharma, outside their home.

During a press briefing, senior AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj voiced serious concerns regarding the surge in criminal activities across the city. He pointedly criticized the central government's role in the issue, linking the rise of gang-related crimes to a perceived decline in public safety under BJP's governance.

The situation was further highlighted following an incident involving French Ambassador Thierry Mathou, who had his phone stolen in a bustling local market. The AAP argues that such cases underline a failing security environment, despite extensive surveillance measures in place across the national capital.
