In a relentless assault, Russia has launched over 2,000 attack drones at civilian and military targets across Ukraine, Kyiv's military disclosed on Friday. This marks a significant escalation in the Kremlin's offensive since their February 2022 invasion.
Moscow's strategy has involved frequent air strikes, with Kyiv alone experiencing attacks 20 times within October, according to city officials. The General Staff of Ukraine reported intercepting 1,185 of the drones in October, while 738 others were lost.
Ukraine has destroyed 31 drones and a missile during the latest Russian strike, causing damage to residential areas and a fire station in the Odesa region. As winter looms, Ukraine prepares for possible energy shortages in the face of continued Russian aggression.
