In a tragic turn of events, two elderly individuals lost their lives after being hit by a car during a morning walk in Jalalabad town. The incident took place on the Bareilly-Etawah road on Thursday morning, according to police reports.
The victims, identified as Ramkishan, 77, and Vinod Kumar, 70, were declared dead at the scene, while their friend Ram Rakshapal sustained severe injuries and was promptly hospitalized. Superintendent of Police Rajesh S confirmed these details to the press.
The vehicle involved in the accident was seized, and the driver has been taken into custody. Authorities have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations as investigations continue.
