A tragic incident occurred in Jharkhand's Palamu district, as a 72-year-old man was arrested for the alleged rape of an 11-year-old girl, according to police reports on Thursday.
The alleged crime took place on Wednesday evening under the jurisdiction of the local town police station. Medininagar sub-divisional police officer Manibhusan Prasad revealed details from the FIR filed by the victim's parents. They accused the elderly man, living in the same neighborhood, of luring the child with a chocolate bar, taking her to his home, and committing the crime.
The young victim has been sent for a medical examination, and the accused is currently in custody. Authorities have registered the case under several sections of BNS and the POCSO Act, with the town police station initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.
