Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party supremo, stated on Wednesday that all MCD sanitation staff have received their salaries and a Diwali bonus before the month's end for the first time.
In a press conference alongside Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi, Kejriwal highlighted that approximately 64,000 sanitation workers have benefited from the Rs 23 crore in bonuses and timely salaries.
Previously, under BJP rule, employees often faced salary delays, necessitating protests. Kejriwal claimed that the AAP government credited salaries on time, thus eliminating the need for demonstrations.
