India Dismisses Allegations Against Minister Shah as Baseless
India dismisses claims about Home Minister Amit Shah's involvement in targeting Sikh separatists in Canada as unsubstantiated. According to Indian government sources, Canada shared this information last year, but India regards it as insufficient and not a threat to Shah or its diplomatic relations.
India has described allegations regarding Home Minister Amit Shah's alleged involvement in targeting Sikh separatists in Canada as 'very weak' and 'flimsy'. According to two Indian government sources, the information is not expected to pose any diplomatic issues for Shah or New Delhi.
A source disclosed to Reuters that Canada had informed India of Shah's supposed role in this matter in October of the previous year.
Despite the claims, India's stance remains firm that the evidence lacks substance and seriousness. The Indian government continues to regard the diplomatic relationship with Canada as stable and unaffected by these developments.
