McDonald's Faces Lawsuit Over E. coli Outbreak in Quarter Pounders
McDonald's is facing a lawsuit due to an E.coli outbreak linked to onions used in its Quarter Pounders. The lawsuit, filed by Amanda McCray and William Michael Kraft, seeks damages for affected consumers across the U.S. who unknowingly consumed contaminated burgers.
On Tuesday, McDonald's was hit with a lawsuit over an E.coli outbreak attributed to onions in its Quarter Pounders, a popular item on the fast-food chain's menu.
The complaint, submitted in Chicago's federal court, was filed by Amanda McCray and William Michael Kraft. Both plaintiffs claimed to experience symptoms typical of an E.coli infection after consuming the Quarter Pounders this month.
The lawsuit demands compensation for all individuals in the United States who bought potentially contaminated Quarter Pounders, arguing that McDonald's failed to disclose the contamination risk.
