Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced a new initiative aimed at evaluating the performance of state government employees. Speaking at an economic summit, Lalduhoma revealed that departments are instructed to form service review committees to identify staff members who are deemed unfit for government work.
According to the Chief Minister, necessary steps, including terminations, may be taken for employees identified as unfit. This move highlights the government's commitment to ensuring a competent workforce for better governance and service delivery in the state.
In addition to the employee review, the Mizoram government is set to tighten its oversight on development projects. Lalduhoma stated that all project proposals must now be routed through the state's planning department before submission to the Centre, aiming for enhanced monitoring and success of developmental initiatives.
