At least four individuals lost their lives in Russia's latest multi-wave overnight attacks on Ukraine's major cities, Kharkiv and Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials.
Russia has consistently targeted Ukrainian regions with drone attacks. The Ukrainian military claims to have intercepted 26 of the 48 drones deployed last night. In Kharkiv, four people were tragically killed in the Osnovianskyi district, as reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov on his Telegram channel.
The overnight assault also caused significant damage to Kyiv, where debris from a downed Russian drone injured four and ignited a fire in a residential building. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported further damage, including several burning vehicles. Moscow has denied targeting civilian areas, amidst ongoing tensions from its invasion in February 2022.
