North Korean Troops & Tech Move to Russian Frontlines Amid Satellite Ambitions
South Korean lawmakers reported that North Korean military personnel might join the Russian frontlines in the Ukraine war. A high-level involvement of North Korean military officials in the Russia-Ukraine conflict was disclosed by South Korean lawmakers on Tuesday. The information was shared after a briefing from the country's spy agency, underscoring North Korea's keen interest in the conflict.
NATO has confirmed Pyongyang's deployment of troops to the contested Kursk region on the Ukrainian-Russian border. South Korean parliamentary intelligence committee member Lee Seong-kweun stated that North Korean troops are receiving Russian military terminology training.
Meanwhile, Pyongyang is also preparing to launch a military reconnaissance satellite with Moscow's assistance, following a previous failed attempt. Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader, is reportedly heightening his personal security due to assassination fears, as noted by attending legislators.
