The Delhi Police has successfully dismantled a drug trafficking network involving a family, arresting three individuals accused of supplying narcotics in the region. The accused have been identified as Raj Kumar, age 38, his wife, Mariam, age 25, and his mother-in-law, Parveen.
Law enforcement officials seized a significant quantity of drugs during the operation, recovering a total of 378 grams of heroin, which has an estimated market value of Rs 80 lakh. This seizure marks a notable achievement in the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes in the city.
According to a senior police officer, initial leads came after the arrest of a man with 274 grams of heroin on October 7. During interrogation, he disclosed Raj Kumar as his supplier, prompting the formation of a special team. As a result, the three accused were apprehended, with eight previous cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act already registered against them, reflecting their prolonged involvement in illicit activities.
