Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal confirmed the discovery of a body behind the medical college in the district's Kotwali Nagar. Senior officers, along with forensic experts, quickly arrived on the scene to gather evidence before the body was sent for post-mortem examination.

The deceased, identified as Vijay Pandey, a resident of the area, had visible knife marks on his body. Family members shared that Pandey had left his home around 3 AM after receiving a phone call. The police have launched an investigation and have formed five different teams to rigorously probe the matter.
