Himachal Pradesh Seeks 'Green Bonus' from NITI Aayog for Unique Needs

Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, made a strong appeal to the NITI Aayog to address the unique needs of hill states during a conference in Delhi on Thursday.
He emphasized the importance of a 'green bonus' for Himachal, which contributes significantly as the lungs of northern India with its substantial forest cover.
The Chief Minister also pressed on the necessity of better air and rail connectivity, appropriate royalty shares from hydropower projects, and thorough studies on the increasing natural calamities and cancer cases in the region.
