BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit chief, Ravinder Raina, on Thursday accentuated the 'significant' advancements in the security landscape of the region over the past decade. He asserted that the newly-elected government and the Centre must tread carefully on sensitive issues to guarantee enduring peace in the Union Territory.
Raina highlighted the decade-long challenges faced by J-K, noting the 'devastation' and 'turmoil' endured. He cautioned against hasty decisions, which could spell disaster for its future, especially concerning statehood or union territory status.
Despite significant improvements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership since 2014, Raina acknowledged continued disruptions from cross-border adversaries. He stressed the importance of peace for development and warned against the growth of separatism and terrorism.
